Hi David,
Just wanted to let you know how much we are enjoying Bucky (Truffles x Buddy)...he is such a lover...recently had my niece in for 10 days and he fell in love with her...he was so gentle with her...she would say a command and he would obey and do what she said...her favorite thing of course was to reward him with a treat:)
He is about 86-90 pounds and such a handsome guy!!
Wish I had the room for a few more...thank you.
Blessings,
Kristina

Subject: Syndey...almost 9 months
Hi David-
Thought I'd send you a few recent pictures of Sydney (Truffles x Buddy, Puppy #4, Aug 07). She's almost 9 months and doing great! Not sure how much she weighs, I think around 60 lbs. She loves to play ball and chew on sticks. As you can see in the second picture, she will chew on any stick no matter what size it is. She happened to pull off a piece of edging around our grass. She gets daily visits to the park and let's us know if we are late in taking her. Her leash is in her mouth ready to go!
Hope you are doing well.
Andrea

To: david@stargatekennels.com
Hi David,
Update on our Charlie...he is a dinosaur!! I keep forgetting he's a pup because of his size. He is much bigger than our previous chocolate lab. He LOVES to swim, and chase the kids in the pool. He does like to nibble on all of the bushes in the yard, but I suppose that will stop as his permanent teeth come in. Also, do you think he should be sleep with any cushion, blanket, etc.? He is tearing up anything we put in the crate, and eating the filling, etc. I don't want to risk bowel obstructions, so I removed his bedding. What do you suggest for bedding? ( If anything.)
Best Regards,
Jane D'Onofrio

"Tug" is doing well. I work with him everyday in the evening when I get home and twice a day on the weekends, 15 - 30 minutes. He has set, come and stay down pretty well. He retreives but not always to hand. We are working on that. I also trying to get him to hold the "dummy" in his mouth without dropping it until I give him the command to drop. He has made a number of water retrieves, not actually swimming retrieves yet. Although my granddaughter have taken him swimming a little.
He travels well and we've been camping down to Bridgeport three or four times and he does very well.
Took him to the vet soon after you delivered him and I got your very nice report. He is in very good health. I'm doing the monthly heart worm thing.
Thanks for a great pup!

Boy has he grown into a perfect dog. He loves living out here in Colorado.
He has no clue what a leash is, But wont walk more then a foot from me, no matter where we are.
He has a love for our horses and the kids. They can dress him up and he just sits there so patient.

Hi David,
Just wanted to let you know Jake is growing fast and is bringing lots of joy to our lives. Here are some pics of him at 3 months in the back of my husband’s vintage truck which doesn’t run but has become a playhouse for our toddler.
Jake has boundless energy, and I can’t remember from our last chocolate lab when he will be old enough to start taking on short jogs. I remember that it’s important not to stress their bones too soon. Can you tell me what you recommend as far as introducing jogging? So far we’ve taken him on 2 mile walks most days but that barely takes the edge off of his energy!
Jake is a sweet puppy with lots of personality. Thanks for bringing us such a wonderful new family member!

Hi David
Just couldn’t resist sending you this picture of my water boy. Duke is now inching up on 10 months old and is a healthy 90# (Truffles & Buddy 8/07 litter, #7). He loves to swim in the river, and this picture was taken on his first pool outing. He loved this diving toy so much that every time he dropped it, he dove in right after it. Duke certainly keeps us on our toes, and sometimes knocks us straight off our feet! Thought you would enjoy seeing his beautiful eyes and in general how handsome he is becoming.
Thanks again for everything…
